This morning, our class had exploration time with a special buddy. We invited Mrs. Langlois' grade 3/4 class to help us out with a special paint project, then the students had the opportunity to go to exploration centers with their older buddy. The Kindergartens were most excited about getting to go to the grade 3/4 classroom to see what they were learning about. Ask your child what they liked best about spending time with an older buddy. Here are some pictures of our time together: *REMINDER:
-If you haven't done so already, please bring to school a clean, medium sized jar (with the label taken off) for a special project During a follow up conversation about our field study, someone asked:
"What is the male goose doing while the female sits on her eggs? She has to sit for days you know..." Some of their thoughts were: -"He's getting her food" -"He's cleaning" -"He's protecting the nest" -"He goes for a dive in the water" -"He's cleaning the dishes"??? :) -"He's detracting other female birds" (she meant to say "attracting") :) *REMINDERS: -library books due tomorrow -May 2 (Tomorrow) is Hat’s On for Mental Health Day Wednesday May 2 is a nationwide event recognizing and bringing awareness to mental health issues.
