Yesterday, we worked on building number towers. Students are getting so good at grouping, we decided that a bigger challenge was needed. After building number towers from 1-10. Students had the option to try to solve the problem of the week. How many blocks did you use in total? Many of the students were eager to find the answer. Some students got frustrated because their towers would knock over when they tried to count them. Here are a few strategies the kids came up with to help with that problem. We are still working on solving this challenging problem. If you have blocks/lego at home, encourage your child to give it a try! You can even help them draw it out. It could be. a fun math game to work on together.
